Coatings for doorsSTAIN SAYERLACK AC 600
Concentrate water-based general-purpose stain available in 14 colours. It is made up of very clear soluble stains. Specific for the dip coating of chairs, added to binder XX 4130 in a 5-15% quantity and then diluted by 10-30% with water.
WATER-BASED STAIN SAYERLACK AC 1810
Harmonising stain, can be overcoated with water-based coatings, harmonising effect on uneven woods, can be diluted with water and alcohol.
STAIN SAYERLACK XM 8000
Very concentrate Stain that before use must be diluted from a minimum of 2:1 (dark colours) to a maximum of 50:1 (light colours). As Thinner, it is possible to use DX 931 to have the quickest drying, or DX 986 that wets better and allows "tearing" the wet Stain, or WATER to obtain the utmost wetability and transparency. Binder AX 2004 can be added to the diluted Stain to obtain an even colouring. XM 8000 is available in 15 colours, all suitable for coating wood for interiors, but not suitable for shading off on sanded Basecoats. For this application, use the XC 1900 series.
STAIN SAYERLACK XM 7100
This stain exhibits a good resistance to light and can be used in the following applications. Stain on bare substrates: dilute with DX 986 or DS 5 from 1:2 to 1:10. Pastel colour: dilute with DT 450 or DT 446 from 1:1 to 1:3. Warning: excessive thickness of stain, especially white, can give adhesion problems.
POLYURETHANE BASECOATS SAYERLACK TU 1
Medium-build basecoat, can be applied by normal or airless spray and even by curtain coater. TU 1 is suitable for open pores, as it exhibits quicker drying and is easier to sand.
POLYURETHANE BASECOATS SAYERLACK TU 161
Is suitable for coating doors and architrave. This basecoat exhibits a high filling power and high thixotropy, good sanding and excellent resistance to lifting. Can be sprayed with air mix and airless gun.
TOPCOAT SAYERLACK TZ 36**
Very versatile, easy to use topcoat exhibiting good wettability and thixotropy, good scratch-resistance and a good build. TZ 36** is designed for vertical applications and exhibits excellent compatibility with the main electrostatic systems.
ACRYLIC TOPCOAT SAYERLACK TU 74**
The products of the TU 74** series are coatings having different matt levels, which can be used both as basecoats (to be directly applied on the wood) and as topcoats. Their main use is in open pore applications on Oak, Ash and other types of wood, with a systems basically consisting of only two applications of the same product. They can be applied by conventional or airless spray guns as well as by curtain coater. Medium/low build, excellent resistance to light.
POLYURETHANE TOPCOAT SAYERLACK TZ 28**
Very versatile matt topcoat for any type of application, from curtain coater to air-mix to airless, from the oscillating-gun machine to pointed guns for profiles, from level to vertical applications. TZ 28** always gives evenly matt surfaces, soft to the touch, with a good surface hardness. For open-pore applications, dilute at least by 50%.
ACRYLIC BASECOAT SAYERLACK TU 54
Totally colourless basecoat with good build and sandability, prepared with resins not subject to yellowing if exposed to light and which protect wood from its natural yellowing. This is the ideal basecoat for coating clear woods such as Ash, Maple, Oak, Birch. TU 54 is also important in the treatment of surfaces subject to bleaching with hydrogen peroxide.
ACRYLIC TOPCOATS SAYERLACK TZ 70**
Absolutely transparent product, exhibiting a good build and softness, especially suited in applications requiring a good resistance to yellowing. For example: coating of clear woods (maple, birch, ash, fine-line, etc.); coating of woods bleached with hydrogen peroxide or other oxidizers (to prevent the problems of strong yellowing in the conventional polyurethane products applied on this type of support). A high dilution (at least 40-50%) is required in open pore processes to help the product penetration into the pores.
WATER-BASED GLAZE SAYERLACK AP 1221
Maximum evenness on uneven woods. Thanks to its high solids content, it fills the pores and reduces the fibre more than a conventional water-based stain. To apply, dilute with water 1:1. If the stain to reproduce is clear, you can use AP 1221/00 and dilute less. Over-coated with water-based products, it exhibits no problems of bleeding.
WATER-BASED BASECOAT SAYERLACK AU 468
Single-component water-based basecoat suitable for coating wooden items for interiors, exhibiting a high transparency and build. The good product thixotropy along with good sanding properties, makes it suitable for coating all those items that require a high manual processing due to their complex structure, such as turned items, assembled furniture.
WATER-BASED TOPCOAT SAYERLACK AZ 99**
Single-component matt/glazed water-based Topcoat suitable for coating wooden items for interiors, exhibiting a high hardness and good chemical resistance. Formulated on an anti-yellowing polyurethane and acrylic resin base, this topcoat maintains its colour over time, keeping the wood colour unchanged (in the clear version). The good thixotropy and hardness, along with an exceptional matt level evenness and softness, make the AZ 99** a valid environment-friendly alternative for any requirements
