Fuorisalone 2025: Funnyture

From April 7 to 13, FUNNYTURE brought irony and unconventional design to Superstudio in Via Tortona, thanks to the creativity of Niclas Jacob.

During FUORISALONE 2025, Danish designer Niklas Jacob presented for the first time a collection of furniture pieces designed over the years—unique items never intended for the market. FUNNYTURE explores the boundaries between design and communication, creating a playful experience through the relationship between meaning and object.

Visitors also had the chance to explore the latest Sherwin-Williams innovations firsthand, including two exclusive design pieces by Linda Marchetti, where the interplay between humans, space, and colour transformed objects into true sources of emotion.

MATERICO and ABACO, the design furniture and the decor totem, symbolize multi-level constructions where shapes represent materials.

Starting with the idea of two faces looking at each other, MATERICO explores different opacities, tactile effects and painting techniques, showcasing the infinite creative possibilites that our products offer using a single colour.

The abacus game inspired the creation od a new system of shades that, though these compositions, helps interact with them, creating an emotion.
ABACO, through the use of colors and their interaction, creates a connection between the object and the game, material becomes a scenario and expression of a world full of emotions, lively and dynamic.
