Wood Color Plus

Our proven Wood Color Plus tintometric system allows you to quickly and reproducibly prepare any sample pigmented finish in the various families of coatings commonly used in the wood sector.
The product package + pastes + dispensing machine and related accessories allows you to:

• Repetitively and accurately reproduce each color previously formulated and stored in the system.
• Use the wide library of formulas of the most popular color swatches already loaded in the program and validated by our laboratory
• Deliver manually entered formulas in grams or cc, thanks to the use of the Corob World program.
• Work with very fast delivery times.
• Formulate new lacquer finishes to the sample, thanks to the use of the X-RITE spectrophotometer and the Corob World program.

Products

To achieve a pigmented finish with the tintometric system, it is necessary to insert colored pastes with a special dispensing machine in a base paint already prepared by Sayerlack and suitable for adding with pastes.
This special base coating, formulated by our company, is called a converter.
Using different converters it is possible to produce a wide range of different solutions able to satisfy any request.

The tintometric system is composed of:

• a series of converters
• pastes in sufficient numbers to cover, in mixing with each other, the whole spectrum of colors obtainable.

The pastes

In principle, it is possible to formulate with universal pastes, which can be used both in solvent-based and water-based coating systems. This family of paste would guarantee maximum ease of use, with only one type of paste for all applications, at the expense of the quality of the final result. The formulation measures, which must be used for the development of a universal paste for water and solvent, negatively affect the quality of the pigmented finishing product, prepared with this system.

Sayerlack has therefore chosen to combine the ease of management of the system with the quality of the final result, developing two different families of pastes:

• one for water-based systems
• one for solvent-based systems

The converters

The converters are composed of base coatings prepared for the addition of pastes, in order to obtain pigmented finishing products. For a tintometric system, which can cover the entire spectrum of possible pigmented finishing coatings, a different converter is needed for each coating family.
For example, a polyurethane converter, a nitro converter, one for exteriors water-based products, and so on.
