Resistance and reaction to fire: effective protection

Safety and aesthetics combined in certified fire-retardant coatings for wood

When a fire breaks out, slowing down its spread is essential: every minute gained can save lives. Fire-retardant coatings play a crucial role in passive protection, delaying the advance of flames and reducing the fire load of environments.

Wood, a living and aesthetically refined material, requires coatings that not only ensure compliance with fire safety regulations but also preserve its natural beauty.

Sayerlack’s research laboratories have developed solutions that meet both technical and design requirements, offering certified protection without compromising on appearance.

Maritime equipment maximum compliance

Sayerlack fire-retardant coatings have passed the tests required by the European Directive for the naval sector (2014/90/EU), obtaining the famous “Steering Wheel”, the mark of conformity that allows the coatings to be marketed in the countries of the European Union and in the United States. The specifications produced by shipyards require the use of fire-retardant coatings in most of the interiors of a ship, in compliance with the regulations on maritime safety.
